Hi,
I am Senior in HS and a prospective ED applicant to Brown. I have been playing the Indian Drums (Tabla) since I was 5. I am pretty good now, though there are not a lot of people to compare myself to. I had a professional debut in which I played for about 3 hours in front of a ~200 person audience.
Besides that, I do not have many accolades besides accompanying other artists at monthly concerts at a temple. However, anyone who knows about Indian classical music and listens to my recordings will recognize that I am a quite talented player (if I do say so myself lol).
I am not sure if it is worth sending a music supplement, especially for such an unconventional instrument. Who will be listening to my supplement? And will ability at a non-traditional instrument help me at all in admissions, provided the rest of my application is good?
